Daymer Bay in North Cornwall glistens under the winter clouds. Very busy in the Summer, but very emotive in the Winter. Great for kids lots of rock pools and shells. Phil [Genius Loci Location Rating 4/5]
Nine Stones Stone Circle Altarnun. This stone Circle is not really near Altarnan as such, and is actually the other side of the A30 and needs some careful map reading lest you be piskey led! The approach is over a large hill and the circle can be seen in the distance to the left. This is truly a magical place, wild Ponies and cattle roam the moors and just prior to our arrival a pure white horse was seen in the centre of the Stone Circle itself. The earth seems to meditate here, this is another side of Cornwall, a different landscape and a different personality. Phil

Storm clouds over Loe Bar - This is the half way point of a walk that takes you around Cornwall's largest fresh water lake. It is a long but easy walk (takes us nearly 4 hours) there are NO tea rooms so take drinks and snacks. The second half of this walk the heavens opened and we all got very wet. Phil [Genius Loci Location Rating 4/5]
Lanyon Quoit - Easy to find with walks to Ding Dong Mine and Men an tol. Madron Holy Well is close by as well. Fantastic views over the bay. There is a wonderful sense of majesty in Lanyon Quoit, it is a place of many moods and colours. Phil

Footpath from Mylor to Flushing - click image to enlarge - I realise the clouds look like they are from Telly Tubby land but they really were like that!. I do like footpaths as a subject, there is a sense of...adventure and exploration, but also space for your own imagination. This is a nice easy walk and Flushing will reward you with real ale or a cream tea. Phil [Genius Loci Location Rating 4/5]
Tregeseal Stone Circle with Kenidjack Castle in the background. Quit a cloudy day but so...so silent. Like a lot of stone circles in Cornwall quit hard to find until you are nearly on top of it. Wellies are required. Phil [Genius Loci Location Rating 5/5]
Sunset Church Cove near Gunwalloe - Click image to enlarge. Taken on the way home from Gweek. Fantastic location and worth visiting for Gunwalloe Church which is just a few metres from this spot. Phil [Genius Loci Location Rating 4/5]
A creepy Roche Rock stands up against the Winter gales. Click image to enlarge. Used in the Omen 3 movie it looks like a gateway to another time and place (it probably is) however it is very close to modern housing estate and School so looks even more surreal when you approach it. Dancing Seagulls over Marazion Click image to enlarge - Taken with the 70-200 Canon Lenses while on the causeway. Phil [Genius Loci Location Rating 4/5]
Helford River bed at low tide - Click image to enlarge - I was taking pictures of several boats near Budock Vean when I looked down and this shot simply happened. Phil [Genius Loci Location Rating 4/5]
