We love this shop and we know many people miss having the opportunity to browse through racks of CDs. Well at Flipside you can still do that!

It is a real shame that FOPP over stretched itself and was not able to stay open. We also feel that the record companies were short sighted in not supplying FOPP with more stock.

One of the reasons CD sales are in decline is that you can't buy them from shops anymore. Many people are unaware of the vast catalogue of CDs that are available. You might stumble across a review on Amazon which takes you to an artist who you were not aware of, but its not the same as physically picking the album and buying from a retailer who cares about the music itself.

Flip Side in Helston are a small independent record shop. It should be supported and protected as a national treasure. It is indeed an Aladdin's cave of music for every taste with obscure and hard to find albums from every era and genre.

The staff are knowledgeable and passionate about the music they sell. Its a great shop to lose an hour or two in. The music is loud and you can ask to listen to any CD before buying.
