Hayloft Restaurant Liskeard

Hayloft Restaurant Liskeard The upstairs areas are popular with groups sectioned as they are and ideal for privacy. The downstairs area with its cosy lounge and bar is warm and inviting. A good selection of beer and wine and a seasonally changing menu including lots of local meat and seafood. The chef uses what best locally and the food is always freshly cooked. An excellent restaurant for lovers of Italian and just well cooked meat and seafood.

"As a keen photographer I was excited when the Hayloft Ristorante invited me to exhibit my work there. I have been taking photos for just over a year since when I got my first Fujifilm camera for my thirteenth birthday. Since then I have won both first, second and third prizes at the St Hilary and Goldsithney photography competition. The photos I have been taking were all taken using that camera, which proves that you don’t need an expensive camera to take good pictures. I enjoy taking shots of the coastline and experimenting with the macro settings whenever I get the chance, sometimes ending with stunning images like the shot of the sea anemone and the froth of a receding wave.
My photos capture a variety of spectacular colours and images ranging from close ups of flowers and insects to crashing waves and ocean sunsets that I take all around Cornwall.
I live in Goldsithney, a small village just outside Penzance. Every weekend I visit locations around Cornwall armed with my trusty digital camera to capture the essence of the landscape. The main aspect of photography that inspires me is the ability to capture a moment in time. I particularly like photographing waves and seafronts where the landscape is forever changing in colour and movement. To capture a wave as it crashes amongst the desolate rocks is what I have tried to do in a couple of my pictures that you can see at the exhibition.
I am looking forward to a future in photography and would like to thank Nick and his family at the Hayloft for providing me with a great opportunity. I hope that everyone enjoys my photos and that they will inspire people to visit our coastline and discover the natural beauty that is constantly changing". Daniel Aston
