'Porthcurno Beach is fantastic location, the sand is almost white and the sea a colour that many people think has been tweaked in photo shop when they see it in photos. The sand is made up of tiny white seashells which helps give the sea its wonderful blue green colour. If you are lucky and you go when the tide is low you can wonder around the bay and feel you are in a tropical lagoon. Swimming in the sea here (when its calm) is one of the most wonderful things to experience'. genius loci
