Goldsithney is a little village just outside Marazion and less than a mile from Perranuthnoe.  The village has its own shop and two pubs both offering good value food and real ales.  You have three great beaches close by, Praa Sands which is huge and has lifeguard cover, Perranuthnoe which has a crafts centre and two lovely cafes and Marazion where you can walk to St Michaels Mount at low tide.

For fine dining we recommend The Falmouth Packet Inn and the Victoria Inn both are a 15 min walk or short drive from the cottage.  Sowena is run by Gilly and Roger and is an ideal base for exploring West Cornwall and the Lizard.   Phil and Sue

About the Cottage

Sowena is a delightful, newly renovated detached stone barn, situated near to the owner's charming farmhouse on the edge of the village. it Offers very comfortable self catering accommodation, Sowena has been well decorated and furnished, and its peaceful setting promises a relaxing stay.

The Sowena Welcome Pack consisting of:

• Luxury hand made fruitcake,
• Cornish Cream Tea,
• milk, tea, coffee and sugar
• ‘starter pack’ of dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid and toilet rolls

All to help you time to unwind upon your arrival.

Cottage Accommodation - All ground floor.

• One double bedroom
• One twin bedded room ( Extra single futon bed or travel cot can be made available upon request
• Shower/wet room with shower area, basin and WC.
• Open plan living room with dining area .
• Porch with door leading to patio area and garden.
• Fully fitted kitchen with door leading front of property.

All electric and heating are included in rental price.

• Electric heating from electric under floor heating in kitchen, lounge and wet room., supplemented by radiators for winter occupation ( via LPG boiler.).
• Electric panel heaters in the bedrooms.
• Electric shower, heated towel rail in wet room.
• Crockery, cutlery, utensils, glassware, etc. provided
• Electric cooker and hob,
